Booking is now open for Bild’s International Positive Behaviour Support Conference 2022, taking place at the Bristol Marriott Hotel on 21st and 22nd June – with discounted early bird tickets currently available for both online and in-person delegates.

In addition, pre-conference events on 20th June will include the CAPBS Coaches Network and the International Journal of Positive Behavioural Support (IJPBS) Symposium.

The theme of this year’s conference is Co-Production: Giving the power back, and attendees will enjoy access to:

  • An opening keynote from Dr Darren Bowring, Head of Children’s Health and Wellbeing for the Government of Jersey, and Emma Saysell, parent-carer
  • A range of talks on key topics including What does good PBS look like now and the launch of a new resource; Good co-production and how it feels; What a co-produced service is like; Developing a charter for co-production, and Co-production with people with high support needs and their families
  • A host of conference workshops for developing skills and knowledge, as well as accessing innovative, practical ideas. Sessions led by PBS practitioners and people with lived experience will include Accessible Communication Passports; Perceptions of family carers to standard PBS tools, and Overcoming barriers to relational depth in support services
  • Plus a wealth of international speakers and contributors with lived experience to be announced…

For the early bird rate of just £335.75 for Bild members, and £382.50 for non-members, delegates can access the conference in-person and benefit from:

  • Live keynote speeches
  • Face-to-face discussions with attending PBS specialists
  • Thought-provoking workshops
  • Attendance at the evening meal and award ceremony
  • Networking possibilities

For attendees who are unable to join in person, online-only tickets are also now available at an early bird rate of £191 for Bild members, and £213 for non-members.

At Bild, we believe that PBS can only be truly person-centred if professionals, supported people, and their families, share the power to plan and deliver support together. The conference will be a fantastic chance for attendees to meet, share best practice, and debate new developments to ensure we can fully meet the needs of those we care for, leading to better outcomes for everyone.
