Webinar: The dementia journey for people with learning disabilities: from early signs to supporting people well

This webinar will explore the journey for a person with learning disabilities who develops dementia.

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to identify the early signs of dementia, how to understand dementia in people with learning disabilities; what needs to be in place to support people through the course of their dementia; the importance of adapting the support; and how to understand and minimise the impact of behaviours that are viewed as difficult.

This webinar will be presented by Dr Karen Dodd, Associate Director: Therapies, People with Learning Disabilities (Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities East Surrey), and will include a live question and answer session.
