RRN Webinar: The Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit’s approach to trauma informed policing

Niven Rennie, Director of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit, will be joining us to present about the reasons for the formation of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit, the adoption of a public health approach to violence, the development of their programmes and the success to date, connections with other organisations, the influence world-wide and the creation of similar units in England in the last couple of years.

Thereafter Niven will outline the challenges that remain, the need to work collectively in true partnership to overcome the problems that we face as a society utilising the learning they have developed over 15 years – and the underlying cause of many of our ailments….poverty.
