GOLD Webinar: Identifying Frailty Risks for People with Learning Disabilities

This webinar examines the background and rationale for looking at frailty in the context of learning disabilities. It will highlight some indicators of frailty and the importance of taking action and joint responsibility between services. It will also cover some initiatives that are already taking place.

Adefunke EriOlu is a learning disability specialist. She has many years’ experience of enabling integrated teams to deliver quality care and strong patient outcomes across diverse healthcare settings. Adefunke has worked in mainstream and specialist primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare settings to reduce health inequalities experienced by people with learning disabilities contributing to, and successfully influencing practice in the county of Hertfordshire, the East of England and nationally. In her current role, Adefunke works proactively with partner organizations to plan for the delivery of more equitable care to people with learning disabilities in Hertfordshire. She is passionate about and committed to delivering healthcare that is relevant to the needs of a changing population with emphasis on enabling improved health outcomes for vulnerable groups. Outside of the work environment, Adefunke is involved in community mentoring projects and has a keen interest in creative arts.
