Programme details

Updated for 2024, the CAPBS PBS Coaches Programme is designed to support the development of PBS practice leaders in services, and considers the current context of PBS, specific elements of a PBS approach, how to develop capable environments and embed PBS within services and organisations.

The first of its kind, the CAPBS Coaches Programme has been independently evaluated by Tizard Centre at University of Kent and was rated ‘gold’ by the Skills for Care Peer Review.

99% of participants said that the CAPBS Positive Behaviour Support Coaches Programme had changed their practice in positive ways, and over two thirds felt this change was significant.

Evaluation results from December 2018 - March 2022

Who the Coaches programme is for

The programme is designed for practitioners with some practical experience of PBS who would like to extend their knowledge and support the implementation of a positive behaviour support approach within their service and organisation.
