Funded places for PBS Qualifications are now available for family carers and personal assistants in England

We have a really exciting opportunity here at Bild to offer a limited number of funded places to family carers and personal assistants who want to gain a qualification in Positive Behaviour Support. We have 25 funded places for each qualification:

One of our current learners, Bobby, has said:

“I applied to the course because I have had a long held dream to be a recognised and appropriately qualified PBS Practitioner. Bild have long been known as pioneers in the field of learning disability and how best we can support individuals, so when I discovered that they were offering accredited PBS qualifications, it was really not a hard decision.

“If you want to work with the UK’s Centre for the Advancement of PBS and want to learn from experts who aren’t just educators, who actually do the job, I’d definitely recommend this course. Especially if you have an interest in promoting a good quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities.”

How are the qualifications completed?
Both qualifications are blended learning so you will need access to a laptop or PC. Learning is mostly self-directed but there are regular small group tutorials.

When will the learning take place?

You can do most of the learning when it suits you but you will need to commit to about 6 hours a week.

How long does it take to complete the qualification?

The Certificate (level 4) takes about 6 months to work through and is for people who provide direct support, and the Diploma (Level 5) can take 12 months and is for practice leaders who work alongside colleagues who provide direct support.

What will we learn about in these qualifications?

More information can be found about the contents of both qualifications here:
