LD Network Co-ordinator (London and SE)

Up to £30,000 FTE, three to five days, 12-month contract secondment opportunity

We are looking for someone who has a passion for improving the support people with learning disabilities receive and believes strongly in equality of access to health care.

We can offer a 12-month contract to the right person who can help us engage with the workforce that supports people with learning disabilities in health, social care and education services across the Greater London (and South East) area.

BILD has just completed a consultation and now need help to set up a learning network that supports collaborative working, provides peer and expert support, and facilitates the sharing of good practice through online and face to face forums.

If you are interested in helping us achieve this, we expect that you not only share our BILD values, but also demonstrate them in your practice. You should have the skills to engage with members of the workforce who provide support at all levels and in different types of services – this should include family carers and people with learning disabilities

You will need to be already plugged into local networks and you should have a good understanding of the current workforce needs and challenges.

We would consider a secondment for this post but you would ideally need to be able to start by the end of April. You will need to  be able to travel around Greater London.

If you would like to discuss this post, please contact Sarah at s.leitch@bild.org.uk
