Established following Southwark’s Workforce Development Programme which provided a range of PBS training qualifications across the borough. The PBS Community of Practice was created as a space for anyone interested in PBS to continue developing their knowledge and skills. It brings together people from social care, health, education and the community to share good practice, learn from each other and build a stronger PBS network across Southwark.
London Borough of Southwark
The community meets four times a year, twice in person and twice online. Each session follows a consistent format, including a focus topic with a learning element, practical activities, and opportunities for networking and collaboration with others. Previous topics include capable environments, trauma-informed PBS, and a whole-organisation approach.
Open to anyone who supports people with learning disabilities in Southwark, including parents, carers and people with lived experience. To receive information about upcoming sessions, contact Southwark’s PBS Team to be added to the mailing list.
