Bild aims to work together with people with learning disabilities and autistic people to make sure that we are focused on the things that matter most to people.
Sometimes, the word ‘coproduction’ is used when we talk about working together. Coproduction means working with people with lived experience to do or change something.
Working Together Resources
Bild’s Working Together team has created resources about working together such as our Working Together Checker and Working Together Charter.
Bild for the Future
Bild for the Future is a group of people with lived experience who meet monthly to advise and support Bild and our partner charities.
Bild for the Future help us to focus on the things that matter most to people. The group looks at how we can make sure more of our work is done working together with people with lived experience.
Staff and Governance
People with lived experience of a learning disability work with Bild both as employees who work with us all year round and as associates who work with us on specific projects.
Many of our training courses are co-designed and co-delivered with people with lived experience. We would like all our training to be co-designed and co-delivered in the future.
Members of Bild’s Board of Trustees include people with learning disabilities and the Board is co-chaired by a person with lived experience.
