Professor Peter McGill announced as keynote speaker at IPBS 2026

We are delighted to announce Professor Peter McGill as the first keynote speaker for this year’s International Positive Behaviour Support Conference.

As a psychologist, social worker and academic, Professor McGill has worked with and for people with learning disabilities for over 50 years.

Currently Emeritus Professor of Clinical Psychology of Learning Disabilities at the University of Kent and a family carer, over the course of his career Peter has been the Director of the Tizard Centre, a trustee of the Challenging Behaviour Foundation, and a founding member of the Challenging Behaviour-National Strategy Group.

Peter will deliver the keynote ‘Capable environments, systems change and Positive Behaviour Support’, taking a deep look at systems change and the capable environments framework, and the implication on day-to-day PBS practice.
