The East Midlands PBS Community of Practice brings together practitioners, providers, and professionals from across the region who are committed to developing and embedding good Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
Originally established prior to COVID-19 and recently re-established, the group provides a space for sharing learning, exploring current challenges, and strengthening understanding of PBS across different services and systems.
The Community of Practice offers a mix of in-person and online meetings, with sessions shaped around topics identified by members. Recent discussions have included developing empathy in support teams, understanding PBS in practice across organisations, and navigating differing perspectives from external professionals.
The group is continuing to grow and evolve, with a focus on increasing engagement, widening participation, and supporting members to share their own experiences and expertise.
