How we began

2004

We developed and ran a two year training course in storytelling. It is accredited with Open College Network (link), so everyone has certificates.

BILD will be producing our course materials for sale next year. Then everyone who wants can learn to be a storyteller!

2006

We set up our Management Committee.

We went to the conference of the International Association of the Scientific Study of Intellectual Disability in Maastricht.

2007

We set up a Training Consortium with Somerset Advocacy and Somerset Total Communication.
We have grants to work in schools in Somerset and with people with profound disabilities in homes and day centres.
