BILD's International Journal of Positive Behavioural Support Autumn 2017 Conference

PBS, trauma and mental ill health

Tuesday 21 November 2017

The Royal College of Psychiatrists, London

BILD's International Journal of Positive Behavioural Support  Autumn Conference is now in its fifth year. This conference will be an exciting opportunity for practitioners, educators, researchers, nurses, trainers, families, and others to hear from leading UK researchers in the field of Positive Behavioural Support who contribute to the Journal.

This event will explore innovative practice ideas, discuss concepts and consider how services can best respond to the needs of people who exhibit behaviours that challenge or cause concern.

A highlight of this year’s conference will be a keynote presentation from Professor Andrew Jahoda, from the Institute of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow. Leading researchers will also present their research on a range of topics including the emotional states of service users and caregivers, and post incident support of care staff following incidents of challenging behaviour.
