Hope for the Future Conference
A peer mentor project about good relationships and keeping safe
12 June, 2019
Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport
The HOPE (Helping Ourselves Prevent Exploitation) project has recruited, trained and supported peer mentors with intellectual disabilities to develop and deliver workshops about sexual exploitation.
The initiative has been funded by the European Union's Daphne programme, and has run from January 2017 to June 2019.
This conference is an opportunity to share the results and findings, and the successes and challenges from the peer mentors themselves and organisations.
We look forward to celebrating the impact of the HOPE project and delegates will be able to access tools and resources that have been developed. This will include the Guide to Promising Practices, which will be launched at the event.
