The fourth CAPBS coaches network summit


This event has now taken place. 


This event is for people who have successfully completed the CAPBS Coaches Programme in Birmingham, Belfast, Stirling or Cardiff, or one run in their own workplace, and have subsequently joined the CAPBS Coaches Network.

This programme is packed with opportunities develop your knowledge and practice through networking with colleagues and listening to PBS experts. There are opportunities to ask for advice and discuss aspects of implementation that you may be struggling with, and also to share and celebrate your successes with others. 


This course will help people to meet competencies 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, and 3.9 for direct care staff in the
PBS Competency framework >


Content

  • Introduction and CAPBS Update
    Feedback from Coaches consultation and next steps—Tom Evans and Laura Higgins, CAPBS Regional Leads

  • Practice Leadership—Getting it right at the front line  
    Professor Kathy Lowe, Service Development Consultant at Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board 

  • Training for a marathon—a reflection on progress in implementation of a whole school PBS approach  
    Sonja Cox, PBS team leader at Wingrave School

  • Working collaboratively with families
    Dr Tony Osgood, Tizard Centre, University of Kent

  • Coaches clinics—bring your questions. Small groups, facilitated by Kathy Lowe, Tony Osgood, Sarah Leitch, Tom Evans and Laura Higgins, discussing challenges and finding solutions with experts and peers.

  • Masterclass with Professor Donald Kincaid, Director of the Florida Positive Behavior Support Project, University of South Florida

 


Who should attend?

This course is only for people who has successfully completed a CAPBS Coaches Programme and are members of the CAPBS Coaches Network.
