Laura Higgins

Laura Higgins

Current role

As well as working as a Positive Behaviour Consultant, Laura currently manages a specialist autism service in a secure provision for people who exhibit behaviours of concern. Laura is also the Positive Behaviour Support lead for the service.


  • MSc in Analysis and Intervention in Intellectual and 
  • Post graduate diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis 


Laura is experienced in working with adults and children with a learning disability, autism and Acquired Brain Injury and their circle of support to develop Positive Behaviour Support packages.

Areas of expertise

Laura’s areas of interest are developing strategies at an individual and organizational level to reduce restrictive practices, including the use of physical interventions and person centred planning to inform positive and proactive discharge pathways. 

Additional information

Laura is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
