Advocacy grant schemes 2007 - 2008
All grants have been allocated until March 2009. We will keep groups advised of
any future funding as soon as we hear about it.
The Department of Health has given money for the development of advocacy support for people with learning disabilities. The British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) has been asked to give this money out.
This money is to help people:
- from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities
- with complex needs
- young people with learning disabilities aged up to 25.
This money is available for two years. This is from January 2007 to December 2008. £900.000 is given out each year.
The money is given in two parts. There is a ‘Large’ scheme and a ‘Small’ scheme’.
The Large Grant Scheme runs from January 2007 – December 2008. The money given out is between £20,000 and £100,000. The money is given for two years.
The Small Grant Scheme runs from January 2007 and January 2008. The money given is between £1,000 and £5,000 each year. The money is given for one year.
