Course information
Delegate fees
The costs for all our events are shown in our literature for each individual
event, but generally BILD offers a rate of £135.00 plus VAT. Unwaged,
family carers, and members of small voluntary organisations* are offered
a rate of £50.00 plus VAT.
* Small Voluntary Organisations - an organisation working in the Learning
Disability field with no more than 5 full time paid members of staff or
equivalent.
Refreshments
All one day courses include refreshments throughout the day and lunch. Two day
courses include refreshments throughout the day and dinner, bed and breakfast
for overnight. Vegetarian cuisine is available as a matter of course.
Please advise if you have any additional dietary requirements on the booking
form.
Start and Finish times
Most events start at 9.30am and finish at 4pm. However, start and finish times
will be confirmed on the programme contained in the joining instructions.
Venues
All BILD training events are held in well equipped training centres, quality
hotels or at the BILD offices. Full details on your course venue will be sent to
you with joining instructions, along with a map.
Accommodation
We will send information to assist you with your accommodation booking needs. If
booking a two day course we will send you details of accommodation with the
joining instructions.
Joining instructions
We will endeavour to send you joining instructions for your course at least 14
days in advance. These will contain details of the venue, travel information,
maps and a programme for the event.
Additional needs
BILD aims to ensure that all its services are available to all. If you have any
additional needs such as communication, dietary or access, please advise us on
the booking form and we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your
requirements, if necessary.
Booking terms and conditions
The booking process
All bookings are processed on a first come, first served basis and are accepted
under the terms and conditions shown below.
Making a booking
Complete all the relevant sections of the booking form. Purchase orders without
a booking form cannot be accepted. Any purchase order sent must be attached to
or accompany the BILD booking form at the time of booking.
For charged courses, attach a cheque, provide credit card details or confirm
that you wish your organisation to be invoiced. Return the form to us by post or
fax to the contact details shown.
Confirmation of booking
Upon processing your booking form, we will endeavour to send you joining
instructions no later than 14 days before the course, including course times,
venue details and map.
Check the details of the joining instructions carefully to ensure they are as
you expect. If you have not received any notification from us about your
booking status at least 7 days before your chosen course please contact us.
Without written notice from us, your place cannot be taken as confirmed.
If your choice of course date has reached maximum numbers, we will advise that
you have been put on a waiting list providing a booking form has been received.
We will write to you with full joining instructions if a place becomes available
or if we are able to give you a place on any additional date arranged to cater
for the waiting list delegates.
We will endeavour to meet any additional needs stated on your booking form in
liaison with the venue.
Terms and conditions
We accept bookings up to the day before the course. For charged courses,
no booking will be accepted unless the full fee accompanies the booking, an
official body has agreed to be invoiced or payment has been made by credit card
Payment must be received before the start of the course or within 30 days of the
invoice date, whichever is sooner. For international bookings payment must
accompany the booking.
All requests to transfer or cancel a booking must be made in writing by fax,
post or email. Requests to transfer bookings can be made at no charge up
to 7 working days prior to the event, after 7 working days a £15.00 plus VAT
administration charge will be made. All cancellations up to 14 working
days prior to the event will be charged 50% of course fee plus VAT. Refunds will
not be made where notice of cancellation does not reach BILD within 7 working
days and will be charged at full course fee plus VAT.
We are happy to have a substitute delegate at no extra charge.
BILD reserves the right to amend and cancel if, for whatever reason, BILD is
unable to deliver the advertised course. In these circumstances we will
endeavour to give adequate notice. A full refund will be given to delegates in
the event of a cancellation.
BILD is not responsible for costs incurred by a delegate when booking and/or
attending a course nor in the event of cancellation by the delegate or by BILD.
The specification(s) covered and course content are clearly shown in the
brochure. BILD is not required to refund the course fee or other costs
incurred by the delegate who have booked the course place in error.
