Peggy Fray
Peggy
(Margaret) Fray, who is a BILD member representing family carers, won Campaigner
of the Year in the Help the Aged Living Legends annual awards last year.
The ceremony took place at Windsor Castle on 3rd May and Her Majesty the Queen
presented the accolades.
Peggy said “It was a wonderful experience and the Queen was very nice”.
She also won the Dame Thora Hird Outstanding Achievement Award.
Peggy was honoured for her tireless work on behalf of vulnerable people which included caring for her sister Kathleen (click here to see the 'Caring for Kathleen' book) until she passed away, getting involved in charity projects and representing carers on local committees.
Well done Peggy!
